While the physiology is incredibly interesting, good nutrition comes down to the daily application -- what you eat day in and day out. We don't eat inflammation or insulin, we eat food! So, this course focuses on just that: understanding food.

It's over 2 hours of content dedicated to understanding the components of food and how that is relevant to your health. This course gives you the scientific basis and rationale for making better choices in your daily diet.

There are six different lectures:

  1. Protein
  2. Carbohydrates
  3. Fat
  4. Alcohol
  5. Micronutrients
  6. Concepts

The lectures are relatively short (~20 min), but dense. Each contains information on the necessities of the nutrient, how the nutrient is used, and then controversies surrounding the nutrient. They are meant to serve as a reference to listen to and come back to! In addition, each lecture has its own lecture notes as a brief reference index with topic timestamps to listen to different sections on demand.
